Now why would I shout that from the rooftops?
Why not just profess that portable spot coolers will solve all your cooling problems, rain or shine, in sickness and health, forever and ever?
Rewind to yesterday. I was sitting at my desk, inundated with work -- trying to deal with rolling out new computers, a new CRM system with multiple integrations, a looming (self-imposed) blog deadline and wondering what I was going to blog about.
That's when I came across this news report from CBS Atlanta. A hidden investigation story on HVAC contractors recommending unnecessary repairs for a system that was functioning correctly.
Reading the story got me mad. Watching the video made my blood boil!
Now granted, this situation was business-to-consumer (B2C) and our focus is business-to-business (B2B) but the same principles apply. All business is really people-to-people (P2P)!
I find myself wondering:
Does instilling fear, uncertainty and doubt in prospects still work?
How do business owners who promote this questionable activity actually sleep at night?
Handling a customer complaint with a lawsuit threat.... really? Who does that?

Time -- ours and yours -- is in such short supply and we don't want to waste it. Life's too short to make bad deals and back pedal to cover mistakes.
