Rental Air Conditioning Industry Thanks Dr. Willis Carrier for 111 Years!

As you sit in your air conditioned car, office or home be sure to celebrate the coolest dad ever -- Dr. Willis Carrier, the father of modern air conditioning.

Willis-Carrier111 years ago, on July 17, 1902, Willis Carrier submitted drawings at Brooklyn New York's Sackett-Wilhelms Lithographing & Publishing Company for what would become recognized as the world's first modern air conditioning system. This 1902 installation marked the birth of air conditioning because of the addition of humidity control which was introduced to address a quality problem with the production of printed paper.
 

Dr. Carrier's cool invention transformed industries and gave birth to many more including the rental air conditioning industry -- bet he never could have imagined people would be renting air conditioners!
