My favorite kind of day is the two-season day. You know what I'm talking about. You wake up in the morning, the air is crisp and when you head outside to get the paper, you can see your breath and *almost* see frost on the grass. This change in weather has me so excited to actually get to wear fall clothing -- it's a girl thing, so guys, just stick with me. The crisp morning unfolds into a cloudless, brilliant-blue sky and the bright sun gets warmer ... and warmer ... Before you know it, to keep cool from the relentless sun, I'm peeling off layers of clothing and BAM -- I'm right back into a summer day!
Sooooo it's not yet fall but summer is fleeting. We call this "shoulder season." The in-between-don't-know-if-it's-going-to-be-summer-or-fall kind of day that usually makes everyone happy. A perfect two-season day!
